Terms of Service

⚠️ Medical Disclaimer: Meddicare provides access to licensed medical professionals. Content on this platform is for informational purposes and does not replace in-person medical examination. In case of a medical emergency, please call 112 or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering or using Meddicare ("Platform", "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. These terms are governed by Indian law.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Meddicare
You must provide accurate information during registration
One account per person — shared accounts are not permitted
Our services are available only within India

3. Medical Services

Meddicare connects patients with independent, licensed doctors. We are a technology platform, not a medical provider. The doctors on our platform:

Are independently licensed with MCI/NMC registration
Exercise independent medical judgment
Are responsible for their consultations and prescriptions

Teleconsultations are conducted under India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020.

4. Pharmacy Services

All medicines are sourced from licensed distributors
Prescription (Rx) medicines require a valid prescription — uploading a false prescription is illegal
We do not supply scheduled substances (narcotics, psychotropics) without proper authorisation
Medicines are for the patient's personal use only — resale is prohibited

5. Payments

Payments are made via UPI directly to our registered business UPI ID
Services are activated after manual payment verification (within 15 minutes to 2 hours)
Fraudulent payment submissions will result in account suspension and may be reported to authorities

6. Refund Policy

See our separate Refund Policy for full details. In brief:

Consultations: Full refund if cancelled 2+ hours before scheduled time
Pharmacy: Refund for sealed, unopened returns within 7 days for non-Rx items
Diagnostics: Full refund if cancelled before sample collection

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Provide false health or personal information
Harass, abuse, or behave disrespectfully toward doctors or staff
Use the platform for any illegal purpose
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
Upload fraudulent prescriptions or payment proofs
Record consultations without consent

8. Intellectual Property

All content on Meddicare — including text, graphics, logo, software — is owned by Meddicare or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or redistribute without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Meddicare's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in dispute. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Medical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating doctor and patient.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
